THANKS FOR VISITING Liberty Machinery Company AT BOOTH N-7259
We loved meeting you! This year Liberty Machinery Company set up in the North Building's Abrasive Machining/Sawing/Finishing Section at the gigantic International Manufacturing Technology Show here in Chicago. Peter, Jim, and Austin were on site to answer questions, offer help, and learn about your surplus machinery opportunities. We ran into old friends, developed new relationships, and got up to speed on the latest advances in the field so that we can stay abreast of developing market trends.
We also enjoyed walking the floor, meeting new people, and learning about the cutting-edge developments in all sorts of corners of the manufacturing world. This year's main exhibits focused on additive (3-D) printing and featured 3-D printed cars, modular houses, and medical components. Additive manufacturing is sure to play an increasingly crucial role in the world as this technology continues to develop. But we thought the coolest part was this ice-cream-serving robot at the Kawasaki booth!
The International Manufacturing Technology Show is one of the largest industrial trade shows in the world, featuring more than 2,000 exhibiting companies and 114,147 registrants. The event is held every two years at McCormick Place in downtown Chicago and has expanded into five halls organized into nine pavilions. It features manufacturers and companies from all over the world as well as our own backyard. For a whole week, McCormick place is filled with the newest and biggest machine tools running under power--think of the power bill! IMTS also serves as an educational experience for young and new apprentices in the industry. This year there were lots of kids from local schools learning about futures in the manufacturing industry here in the U.S.
