PowRgrip PGU 9000A by Rego Fix uses a slightly tapered collet with a built-in set screw for presetting the tool. It is pressed into the toolholder by means of a six ton precision hydraulic press. To unclamp the tool the compression cycle is simply reversed. The clamping or unclamping cycles are very short, approximately 8 to 10 seconds.
After the clamping cycle the tool is immediately usable, no delay for cool down is necessary. The powRgrip system has a very high life expectancy. Under normal operating conditions more than 20,000 clamping cycles are achieved.
